Methodology

HGIS Hospitality Interior Procurement has its own methodology, which was created specifically for the hotel market. Its focus is to solve the client’s needs, quality and assertiveness in terms of value, execution time and project delivery. This methodology has been continually improved over the 25 years since the company was founded.

The process is followed to the letter so that each phase of the project has an impeccable beginning, middle and end, exceeding the client’s expectations. Hamam Global was founded in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1999, with a bold dream: to become a leader in hotel project management. From the beginning, the company has stood out for its excellence, expertise and commitment to quality at every stage, from conception to final delivery.

A Decade of Exponential Growth

In the following years, the company experienced a period of exponential growth, consolidating its presence in important capitals in Latin America: Brasília (2005), Buenos Aires (2006) and Rio de Janeiro (2012). In 2007, Hamam Global took an even bolder step, crossing the Atlantic and arriving in the United Arab Emirates, with a project in Dubai.

In 2003, Hamam Global took a crucial step in its international trajectory, opening its first venture outside Brazil: Asuncion, Paraguay, marked the beginning of an expansion that would cross borders and continents.

Leonardo Hamam is a visionary global entrepreneur, architect, and developer with over 25 years of experience transforming ideas into results in the hospitality and real estate sectors. He is the founder of Hamam Global Interior Solutions, the company-mother of a group that now includes HGIS USA, HGIS Europe (Portugal), Hamam Dubai, and Hamam Real Estate Development — all united by one goal: delivering excellence across every stage of hotel and property development.

Leonardo has personally led the successful delivery of over 250 hospitality projects across 10 countries, serving more than 70 international brands and 650+ satisfied clients. His group operates with a global network of over 1,000 manufacturers, offering tailor-made solutions in FF&E, OS&E procurement, purchasing, custom manufacturing, interior design, and on-site installation supervision.

What sets Leo apart is his ability to absorb a client’s vision and transform it into a clear, executable strategy — becoming not just a supplier, but a trusted partner and strategic force within each project. His passion for excellence was shaped by personal challenges early in life, and his drive has only grown stronger with time.

Now expanding his vision beyond hospitality, Leonardo leads Hamam Real Estate Development, focused on hospitality, residential, and commercial real estate projects that combine aesthetic excellence with sustainable, long-term value.

Outside of the boardroom, Leonardo is a guitarist, rock music lover, and boxing enthusiast — passionate about energy, rhythm, and personal discipline. He lives in Boca Raton, Florida, with his wife Cristiane and their three daughters, finding daily inspiration in family, music, travel, and wellness. He also enjoys pickleball as part of his active lifestyle.

Leonardo believes in ethics, transparency, spirituality, respect for the environment, and sustainable innovation. He is deeply committed to giving back: Hamam Global has donated over 300 trucks of furniture to families in need in Aparecida do Norte, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro.

Gustavo Hamam | VP - Partner

Gustavo Hamam began his career at HGIS Hospitality Interior Procurement in 2005. After finishing his academic career, he decided to join his brothers and became Vice President of New Business Development for HGIS Hospitality Interior Procurement. His mission within the company is to develop and implement growth opportunities through new business ventures and strategic alliances. With great business acumen, he has successfully developed the Latin American market, executing a variety of projects across the continent. Gustavo’s outgoing personality, energy and drive have brought HGIS Hospitality Interior Procurement more than 70 hotel brands and approximately 43,000 keys delivered. He is skilled in dealing with hotel owners, investors and contractors and makes close friends with his clients.

His customer base is divided into 80% Brazil and 20% Latin America, and the professionalization and evolution of the market require greater investment in the customer service team. According to Gustavo, the entry of international networks has contributed significantly to this growth. Gustavo Hamam’s recipe for success is to never give up when told no. Perseverance and resilience are part of the profile of a great sales professional. In addition, he prioritizes human relationships between customer and supplier, and face-to-face contact when closing a deal still makes a difference. In his spare time, Gustavo plays golf and supports Corinthians Paulista, his favorite team. He lives in São Paulo with his wife Tathiana and son Nicholas.
